in mint condition with handtag, here is some brief history on this bear:The
name "Teddy Bear" became popular after a cartoon appeared int
the Washington Post in 1902, depicting an incident in which President Theodore
Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear during a hunting expedition. This superbly
crafter Teddy Bear is a faithful replica of an original model made in 1904
by the Firm of Margarete Steiff GmbH of West Germany. You an see the oriignal
Steiff Teddy Bear that served as a proptotype in the MARGARETE STRONG MUSUEM
of Rochester, NY. The bear is signed, unfortunately I cannot identify the
