About Me:
I have always loved dolls, from the time I was a little girl
in Germany. I was born in 1940, during WWII.
Availability of dolls or toys was zero....we were fortunate to get something
to eat every once in awhile. When I got
my 1st doll, I think I was 6 years old, my mother was able to get it from someone
else. I was totally beside myself.
I truly could not believe my eyes: A doll!!! She was laying in a cradle, that
my mother borrowed and painted
(I found out later on). I can still recall the surprise and joy I felt!! I found
out later on my mother had borrowd the cradle
and painted it for me. That little
doll,
with her cute little braids draped around it's ears, went everywhere
with me,
I just would not let her go. It took many
years, before I got another one. Now I have a house full of them!!!!
My love for dolls has grown into a fulltime business. I believe in collecting,
not only because of the joy of owning, but
also for financial rewards. Doll Collecting is an investment that grows.
My focus is to purchase all variety of quality dolls, from the Wooden Dolls
of the 19th century to the Hard Plastic Dolls
from the 1950's and younger. All ages and all price ranges. By doing so I hope
to be able to start the younger generation
and the budget minded collector as well.
When you collect, you expose yourself to a whole range of emotions: from the
excitement of the hunt, to the joy of
finding an item, to the pride of ownership, to the knowledge of your investment
growing, while you are admiring your
possession!!! PLUS IT'S JUST PURE, UNADULTERATED FUN!!!!!!
Join me, no matter what your budget, I am sure we can find something for you
and get you started, or add to your already
existing collection.
